Initial Findings & Ideas Exhibitions

At four public events in late September/early October 2023, we shared the community's priorities and the design team's initial ideas in order to get local people’s feedback.

(For the latest see the Concept Design exhibition)

INITIAL IDEAS

Our concept

We want to create an industrious heart to Bow Goods Yard surrounded by a series of connected landscape pockets or ‘charms.’ These new spaces and uses will bring the community into the site for the first time.

We have been thinking about zoning the area to accommodate a mix of uses that reflects both our and the communities priorities. This diagram sets out some of the fixed locations and our initial thinking. Select the numbers/letters on the plan to see what the different landscape areas and zones could be like.

From all of the feedback recieved we have been able to produce a set of priorities to guide the design development where possible. Note: based on your feedback we have turned your priorities into a more concise 'Community Brief' here.
